I Love My Church Family

What’s Up Mt. Pisgah!!!

Mt. Pisgah, you are an extraordinary assembly of Christians, whom God has shown much favor towards.  I can see the mighty and miraculous power of GOD stirring in the hearts and minds of the people.  I am positively privileged and pleased to have been appointed and anointed by God Himself to serve as Pastor of this fellowship of Believers.

So many times we hear what’s wrong with your church but hardly ever does anybody just affirm what they love about their Church family. I was just sitting here reflecting on some of the significant essentials that I really love about our Church and I began to record some of them, so here is my list (not necessarily in order):

  1. That the Bible is still preached and taught without compromise
  2. We are still excited about seeing souls saved
  3. There is a passion to move people towards Discipleship
  4. The presence of God is manifested in the hearts of the membership
  5. The diversity of ages and ethnic backgrounds that make up the congregation
  6. Worship is “off the chain, you can still get your praise on”
  7. The growing sense of being a family unit
  8. That we laugh with each other
  9. Down to earth and laid back – steering away from religious and empty images of self importance
  10. We are learning how to disagree without declaring war on each other
  11. I love seeing our young people pray, praise, and prepare themselves for leadership in their church and community
  12. How forgiveness and reconciliation are not strangers or unwelcomed participants within the congregation
  13. How we are weaning ourselves of some meaningless traditions and empty rituals
  14. I love the fact that I can see growth in the greater majority of the membership
  15. I really love the fact that most of the church’s growth has come through the evangelism efforts of the congregation
  16. The greater majority of the people simply want to follow leadership
  17. I love seeing new face taking leadership in the Church

There are more, but I will just stop with these.  We have not arrived at all of our final destinations, but I thank God we are on our way …

There might be someone who is praying about becoming a part of our Church family.  Why would you recommend them to do so?  Write or list the reasons you would recommend our Church to others.

If you were a visitor at Mt. Pisgah, how did you feel about worshipping with us and would you come back to worship with us again?

 Saved and Sure,

 Pastor

Mt Pisgah is not just another church, for me it’s home. There is so much love and oneness there. The body of Mt Pisgah has genuine love for one another. I feel like a part of the body of Christ not just another church member. I love Tuesday night Bible Study that is where I have grown the most. My teachers are awesome! My Pastor is right on point all the time. And Sister Patricia you are a true blessing. Mt Pisgah is where the Spirit of the Lord dwells. On top of a million other reasons why I love Mt Pisgah the number one reason is this is where my kids accepted Christ in their lives as their Lord and Saviour…..I’m going to see my kids in heaven….Amen!!!! Praise God!!!!

I love “The Mount” because it is a place that loves Jesus and is not ashamed to show it. Mt. Pisgah is a place that challenges us to grow in the Lord & to get out of our comfort zones. I really have grown spiritually here and i am learning to move me out of the way and let God do his thing i’m at a point now that i would rather put a smile on his face than my own and i give that credit to the Lord working through the teaching/preaching at “The Mount.” And speaking of teaching/preaching if you love it you sure will get it here. With that said if you are ever in our area please feel free to come and worship and praise the Lord!

Since the moment Tracey and I walked in to Mount Pisgah we have felt at home. The Holy Spirit placed us here, and is opening doors we never expected to have opened. The people are loving, and have a deep desire to serve God. God is helping us grow daily, and He allows us to make mistakes to help us grow even stronger. We thank God everyday for allowing us to be a part of this wonderful and loving Church. Pastor gives us all opportunities to serve, and when God opens a door we need to be strong and step through. I know this without a doubt, God Shows up on time, every time……….and He shows out! Love Ya!

I am overjoyed to be a part of this assembly of believers called Mt. Pisgah. It was God who joined us to this body of believers in Kokomo, IN almost seven years ago and oh how happy I am that He did. It is here at Mt. Pisgah that my life has intertwined with some beautiful and genuine brothers and sisters. It is here that the Love of God and the passion to do His will is fostered and practiced. I am and will be eternally grateful to the many women who have embraced me as their daughter, sister and friend. I have found out for myself that there are a group of believers at 1599 E, Sycamore Street who will pray for you and support you through the storms of life. I am delighted to be a part of the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church family. The very thought brings a smile to my face. :) Love ya & God Bless!

I have to agee with you. Mt. Pisgah is a growing and nice curch to call home. Mt. Pisgah is a church that is very good in helping me as a minister of the Gospel grow into the person God has called me to be. Mt. Pisgah have a love for soul to be saved and that’s not happening everywhere. Mt. Pisgah is a church that is saturated with biblical preaching and teaching that requires us to get out of our comfort zone. The teaching and preaching alsp challenges us to grow into a mature disciple of Christ. I thank the Lord for you as my Pastor, because you stick to the Word and present it in away that even a samll child can understand. You require all the preachers that God has given you as your help to grow into true preachers of the Gospel. You don’t allow us to be lazy, inconsistant, and sorry preachers. Thanks you Mt. Pisgah for being a training ground for me. I love my church family. Thank you Pastor for being an awesome leader, teacher, pastor, and father. So if anybody wonders wherther or not I love my Pastor and Church family ;you don’ t have to because I love My Church Family.

  9. I’m new to Mt Pisgah. I had been faithfully attending another church for the last 10 years. I was very VERY active but I saw how much of a “family” they weren’t when my girls and I experienced a house fire last summer. To this day, I can’t believe how we were treated. Anyway, that’s in the past and I’m so looking forward to the future at Mt. Pisgah. Pastor, you are so down to earth and you don’t make yourself seem holier than others. You let us know that you are human too and that you too make mistakes. I can’t wait to get to know you, your family and the rest of the Mt. Pisgah family. My youngest daughter is STILL talking about how much fun she had at last Sunday’s new member class. Sis. Williams, I don’t know what you did but she LOVES it. Keep up the good work!

Mt. Pisgah! Never have I been so spiritually fed! Thank You! There is someone from every walk of life @ Mt. Pisgah, but the way the Holy Spirit moves thru building. . .we are all on one accord. I Love the way that the ministry doesnt end with the Pastor because the pulpit is packed with knowledge of sound doctorine! Im still only an embryo in Christ but God sent me to the sho-nuf right church to grow and blossom in his word. I Love You Church Fam! Smooches!

  11. Barbie says:

I AM SO SATISFIED!!! I don’t brag on much, but I am absolutely satisfied with MY church home. I have often pondered where I would be without my church family. Being so far away from biological family, I depend and appreciate my family at Mt. Pisgah. I have grown spiritually by leaps and bounds because of the excellent teaching and preaching at MPMBC.

  12. K. Hall-Anderson says:

The most important thing that draws me to Mt.Pisgah is the preached WORD. I am so delighted in the fact that the teaching and preaching is STRICTLY bible based! None negotiable! So to a non-member, if that is your top priority, then to “The Mount” it is!

  13. Jennifer Whitticker ( Gee) says:

There’s a song that says The spirit of the Lord is here, I can feel it in the atmospere. That feeling is what drew me to Mt. Pisgah. What keeps me is the education I’m gaining.I’m learning what God really wants from us and I’m losing all those manmade RULES.Through this learning process, my walk with Jesus has become a lifestyle not something I just do because it’s the right thing to do. I love my pastor and his method of teaching and preaching. He has a young mind and a youthful way about him but an old spirit. I love the feeling of being part of big family at MPMBC. I am eternally grateful that the Lord gave me permission to join!

  14. Edith says:

LEA JR. for all of Us @ the PISGAH. Let’s continue to Work and Eat with Love each other. We are blessed YALL.
