After hearing Dr. F.D. Reese recall the events that happened on Bloody Sunday, how do you feel? Are you thankful for the sacrifice of Dr. Reese and others, who put their lives on the line, just for you? Has anybody ever thought what they would have done, if they were on the Edmund Pettus Bridge that Bloody Sunday?
Today at Ebenezer when Dr. Reese was talking to us I learned a lot of things… First of all he told us about how he had a bad temper but when the kid slapped him he went to go tell the teacher instead of slapping him back. I also learned how he was a science teacher, mathmatics teacher and a Pastor… Pastor Reese changed my life by helping us have more freedom…. He helped out Martin Luther King and that is why we are doing wat we are doing today.
Dr. Reese has changed my life. If he wouldnt of walked with Martin Luther King and helped him fight for our freedom i would of had a lot of problems. I would of been scared just to walk down the street or go anywhere. But since he helped I can walk anywhere with out being stared at like I did something wrong. So I thank him for that because he changed a big part of my life.
dr Reese has changed my life he had a bad temper an he hand to learn how to his temper and that my aditude needs to change
Well Dr Reese has changed many lives especially mine in so many differenet way’s i can’t even explain.Plus today he was talking about how black people didn’t get to vote but by the help of black people like Dr. Reese, Martin Luther King, and also some white people we are aloud to
Dr. Reese is a big insperation on me because he taught me how to be a leader. Today he talked about how he lead the teachers march so people can vote. He has chaged my life a lot. I’m going to be a whole different person.
i have learned a lot from a living legend Dr Reece. Dr Reece has changed many lives as well as mine. Just listening to him speak before dinner touched my heart because he is a living legend from MLK days. If it was not for Dr reece standing up for our rights i dont think i would be here understanding our rights and our freedom. We all know we have a temper to some extent and just wont to blow if someone just slaps us in our face but dr reece set a example and told before he did any damage so that change my life to hold temper and say something
Today i had the oppurtunity to hear a insperational speech from a man who has went from seeing black people get beat to seeing barack obama become president. I had the oppurtunity to meet Dr. F.D. Reese. hearing him speak today gave me the hope and the inspiration to belive anything in the world i want can be mine. Without Dr. Reese using his non-violent methods to pave the way for african americans today we would be facing the past all over again. i hope to one day become great in achiving my accomplishments as mr reese has and i was very humbled to hear his story once again.

Dr. F. D. Reese has been a huge inspiration on my life. I first met hi in 2008 and every time i hear him speak i learn something new. Back in 2008 i remember how he taught me how to do things in a non-violent way. I WILL admit, I still need to work on that, but it still stuck with me. (lol) 2009 i remember how he taught me determination. He was so determined to carry out the rights and civil liberties he thought should have been given to everyone. Today in 2010 i learned be faithful to what I believed. He never gave up on the things he felt were wrong or things he believed in, and to this day STILL believes in. I think with these 3 very important qualities I could go farther in life with the goals i want to pursue.

Hearing Mr.Reese today encouraged me to handle situations in a non-violent way. If him and MLK wouldn’t have accomplished this goal then where would we be today? If I was on the bridge on Bloody Sunday I would shout & sing praises thanking God that I’m still alive ! I enojyed listening to Mr.Reese speak today and even though I already heard it once , I feel like I’ve learned even more this time. If I had the chance to listen to this story again I would. And I’m thankful for all the work they did to get us this far !

Hearing Dr.Reese speck about bloody sunday just made me want to cry inside because I know if I was part of that i probly would have gave up. And it makes me fill real bad inside becasue all these people died for us to have eual rights & I dont think Im taking full advantage of it.
I think Dr. Reece changed our lives because he inspired people to march. He never quit and stood on his belief which set an example for everyone else in selma to lead in that historical march across the bridge. if it wasn\’t for dr. reece no one would be as inspired as they were which benefits all blacks.
Today I heard Rev. Reese speak, I really enjoyed it. I think that he made a big diffrence in what he did for all Americans. I am grateful that he led many marches and he kept fighting until justice was won. I already knew that Pastor Reese walked with the Kings and the Parks, but one thing I didnt know was that they marched from Selma to Montgomery and it took them 3 days. I also didnt know that he walked all the way to Montgomery next to Rosa Parks, Mrs. King, The Albernathys, Ralph Bunch (First Black Noble Peace Prize winner), A. Phillip Ranldolph and others (they were all on the front line).
